The Institute celebrated the 91st Birthday in the memory of its Founder President Dr Stya Paul as Founder's Day on October 4, 2011. The celebrations were an attempt to pay tribute to this great man who had been a legend in himself and led the Apeejay Education Society into becoming one of the esteemed and renowned educational bodies of India with his futuristic insight, visionary attitude and missionary zeal. The celebration commenced with a mellifluous Bhajan rendition which was followed by a duet song and choreography and special talks delivered on the Apeejay motto of "Soaring High is My Nature". On this day, Dr Stya Paul Award is bestowed to a student who has not only shown academic excellence but also exhibited high moral and ethical conduct. This award includes a certificate and a one-time scholarship of Rs. 5000. Ms. Anahad Batra of BBA V was the proud recipient of 'Dr Stya Paul Award for Moral Values' for 2011.

The Institute's Annual Management and IT Festival, Pinnacle 2011 as organized on November 4 - 5, 2011. More than 250 students participated wholeheartedly for the top positions in 44 different academic, cultural and sports events during this festival. This gala event consisted of the Academic Events: Paper Presentation, Quiz, Elocution, Net Savvy & debate; Cultural Events: Skit, Antakshari, One Act Play, Dumb Charade, Debate, Classical Vocal Solo, Trends, Balle Balle, Fashion Show, Duet Song; Sports Events: Cricket, Volley Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basket Ball and Chess etc.

Apeejay Institute of Management, Jalandhar organized a function to commemorate the death anniversary of Saheed Bhagat Singh on 25th March, 2011. Many competitions like Essay Writing, Collage, Elocution and Poster Making were organized at the institute in lieu of the same.

National Conference on "Business Innovation" held on February 27, 2010 at Apeejay Institute Management, Jalandhar, was a congregation of developers, users, academicians and researchers from information technology and from business community for sharing and exploring new areas of research and development. The Chief Guest for the conference was Mr. Harbir Singh, PCS (Assistant Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Jalandhar); the Keynote speaker was Mr. Sarvjit   Singh Samra (Managing Director, Capital Local Area Bank Ltd.); the Guest of Honor was Mr.  Vinesh Paperwala (Country General Manager, Lenovo India Pvt. Ltd.) and Chairman was Dr. Gurpreet Singh Lehal, Professor, Deptt. of Computer Science, Punjabi University, Patiala. 
Dr. Balram Dogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management formally marked the opening of the conference by welcoming the guests. Mr. Harbir Singh in his Inaugural address emphasized on the relevance of the innovation which is a key factor for the development of human era. He focused on the fact that it is presumed that Business Innovation is playing a vital role in private sector only but public sector cannot afford to be left behind. Mr. Sarvjit Singh Samra in his keynote address, emphasized that a person must be a positive thinker, trustworthy, respectful and optimistic. One must think with an open mind to identify various new and Innovative business opportunities in order to become a market leader. A market leader must maintain integrity in everything. Mr. Vinesh Paperwala emphasized on the three vital factors; Experience, Go Green and Design. The slogan that "Technology has the life of a Banana" gives a clear cut picture that use of technology after the appropriate time is said to be obsolete. He focused on the fact that innovation is an important aspect for any customer. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Lehal delivered the presidential address. The Valedictory Session was presided over by Dr. Moin Uddin, Director, Dr. B.R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.

The conference was co-chaired by Dr. Rajesh Bagga and Dr. Navjote Khara, and more than 70 papers were presented by academia, researchers, and people from the industry across the country.

In a grand ceremony marked by decorum and academic tradition, over 200 students were awarded degrees at the Fourth Convocation of Apeejay Institute of Management held on January 30, 2010. Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The meritorious students who had done the Institute proud with their academic prowess and bagged various university positions were honoured by Hon'ble chief guest Dr Rajneesh Arora on the occasion. Dr. Balram Dogra, Director, AIM, in his address, presented the Institute's Annual Report. He outlined the initiatives, achievement and progress made by the Institute in its concerted efforts at improving the quality of education imparted. He also made a special reference to infrastructure of the institute, teaching methodology, academic results, cultural & sports activities, collaborative research projects with national bodies like AICTE & CII. Hon'ble Chief Guest then conferred degrees on the students. Delivering his address on the occasion, worthy chief guest congratulated the students on their accomplishments. He said that the students of today are armed with more than degrees, as they are exposed to practical experiences and worldviews. Dr. Arora also congratulated the Institute on its multifarious achievements and initiatives, which has enabled Apeejay Institute of Management to emerge as a leader in Management and IT Education in the region.
