Jalandhar, October 4, 2012: The Institute celebrated the 91st birthday in the memory of its Founder President, Late Dr. Stya Paul as Founder's Day in October 2012. The celebrations were an attempt to pay tribute to this great man who had been a legend in himself and led the Apeejay Education Society into becoming one of the esteemed and renowned educational bodies of India with his futuristic insight, visionary attitude and missionary zeal. The celebration commenced with a mellifluous Bhajan rendition which was followed by a duet song and special talks delivered on the Apeejay motto of ‘Soaring High is My Nature’. On this day, the prestigious Dr. Stya Paul Award is bestowed to a student who has not only shown academic excellence but also exhibited high moral and ethical conduct. This award includes a certificate and a one-time scholarship of Rs. 5000. Ms. Saloni Sharma of MCA V was the proud recipient of 'Dr. Stya Paul Award for Moral Values' for 2012.

The PTU sponsored One-Week Faculty Development Programme on "Emerging Trends of Wireless Networks in Medical Field : Issues, Challenges & Tools" organized by School of Information Technology, Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar w.e.f. 14th May to 18th May, 2012 was completed successfully on 18th May, 2012. The course was coordinated by Mr. Avnip Deora, Asst. prof. (Senior Scale), School of Information Technology. There were 34 participants in total. 15 participants belonged to the host Institute, 15 participants belonged to other institutes affiliated to PTU and four participants were from other university. The resource persons were Dr. Manoj Kumar, Professor & Director, CT Group of Institutes, Jalandhar; Dr. Gurvinder Singh and Dr. ML Singh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Dr. Maninder Singh, Thapar University, Patiala; Dr. Sandeep Sood, Guru Nanak Dev University, Gurdaspur Campus; Dr. Jyotish Malhotra, Guru Nanak Dev University, Jalandhar Campus; Dr. Sukhwinder Singh, Punjab University, Regional Campus, Hoshiarpur; and Dr. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, NIT, Hamirpur.

Around 300 meritorious students were honoured for their accomplishments on the dais amid celebrations of colour and fanfare at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus Annual Function held on March 24, 2012. The efforts of the students in academics, sports and cultural activities were recognized on this important day. Shri S. K. Jena, Regional Officer, AICTE Chandigarh congratulated the students for their spectacular performance and motivated them to continue their pursuit for excellence and knowledge.

A blood donation camp was organized on 17th January 2012at the Auditorium of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus. The camp was organized as a part of NSS activity in association with NGO PAHEL, which is committed to taking initiatives for humanitarian causes. There was an overwhelming response for the camp from the staff and students. The students and the staff donated around 100 units of blood. It was good to see so many volunteers coming forward for a humane cause, their effort and service was highly appreciated.

The PTU sponsored One-Week Faculty Development Programme on "Digital Image Processing and Application in Pattern Recognition" organized by Department of Computer Applications, Apeejay Institute of Management, Jalandhar w.e.f. 25th July to 29th July, 2011 was completed successfully on 29th July, 2011. The course was coordinated by Ms Lakhwinder Kaur, Asst. prof. (Senior Scale), Department of Computer Applications. There were 33 participants in total. 15 participants belonged to the host Institute, 17 participants belonged to other institutes affiliated to PTU and One participant was from other university. The resource persons were Dr G.S. Lehal, Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala; Dr. M. L. Singh, Dr. Kuljit Kaur and Dr. Gurvinder Singh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Dr. Renu Dhir, Associate Professor and Er. Sharvan Kumar Pahuja Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of technology, Jalandhar; Dr. Manish Kumar Jindal, Panjab University Regional Centre, Muktsar; Dr. Kulbir Singh, Thapar University, Patiala; Dr. Syamala Devi, Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
